Case IH 2694-02 - ACM – ACM: Joystick square switch circuit fault
Issue description
Circuit fault associated with a square switch located on the loader or multi-function joystick, indicating an open circuit, a short circuit to ground, a short circuit to power (12V), or an incorrect reference voltage being sent back to the controller.

Check the cause
Check for related ACM communication error codes (e.g., MFH communication errors or reference voltage shorts)
Inspect the wiring harness connecting the joystick to the Armrest Control Module for pinch points, broken wires, or loose connector pins
Test reference voltage to verify that the joystick switch is receiving the correct voltage (typically 5V or 12V) and that the signal circuit is not shorted to 0V or 12V
Verify ACM configuration to ensure it is correctly configured for the specific joystick installed, preventing false voltage codes
Repair steps
Power down machine
Power down the machine and disconnect the battery.
Access ACM and joystick base
Remove the armrest console covers to access the ACM and the base of the joystick.
Disconnect harness
Disconnect the joystick electrical harness.
Replace joystick assembly
If the switch itself is not serviceable independently (which is common for Case IH multi-function handles), the entire joystick head or joystick assembly must be replaced.
Reassemble and recalibrate
Reassemble the armrest and use the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to clear the error code and recalibrate the levers/joystick at power-up.
