Case IH 2702 – Transmission Control Unit (TCU): Ma Pressure Sensor - signal not plausible or ground sensor disconnection
Issue description
The system is detecting that the electrical current has dropped below the 4 mA threshold (often to 0 mA), which the system interprets as an open circuit, a broken ground wire, or a disconnected sensor harness rather than a valid pressure reading.

Check the cause
Inspect the pressure sensor connector and wiring harness for physical damage, corrosion, or a disconnected plug.
Test the sensor's ground wire for continuity to the chassis or ECU ground. A broken ground will cause the disconnection fault.
Use a multimeter to measure the current loop on the sensor's output wire. A healthy sensor should output between 4 mA and 20 mA. A reading of 0 mA confirms a wiring break, power failure, or a completely failed sensor.
