Case IH 2748 (51872912) - UCM or DEC – UCM or DEC: Anti-Jack Knife logic error

Issue description

A logic error in the Anti-Jack Knife system, typically meaning the control module is receiving conflicting data from the inputs that govern this feature (e.g., the multicontroller button, brake pedal sensors, or transmission speed sensors).

Applies to these machines

  • VESTRUM CVX
  • Puma CVXDrive (140-240)
  • Vestrum CVXDrive (Vestrum 100)
  • Luxxum
  • Maxxum CVXDrive (110, 120, 130)

Check the cause

  1. Check the operation of the service brake sensors/switches, as engaging the brakes is a primary trigger for freezing the transmission ratio.

  2. Test the shuttle FWD button on the multicontroller to ensure it is not sticking or sending an erratic signal.

  3. Verify that the A-Post Instrumentation Cluster properly displays the Anti-Jack Knife activation icon (Icon #18 on the Pro Vision Operating System) to see if the system thinks it is engaged.

Parts you might need

(3)
  • Multicontroller Joystick / Shuttle Button

    Cab controls

  • Service Brake Switch / Sensor

  • Transmission Speed/Ratio Sensors
