Received Network Data In Error. Occurs when an electronic control module receives messages over the network, but the data is invalid, substituted with an error indicator, or out of the expected parameters for 5 seconds or more.

   Determine if the code is currently active. If other CAN-related fault codes are present, troubleshoot them first, as a single failed module can corrupt the entire CAN 1 network.

   Inspect the vehicle harness (Primary Data Link / CAN 1) for wiring that is shorted to power, shorted to ground, or open.

   Inspect all CAN 1 connectors for terminals that are bent, spread, corroded, or loose.

   Check the CAN network terminating resistors to ensure they are intact and reading the correct resistance (typically 60 ohms across the network).

   Repair wiring harness

   Repair the damaged section of the CAN 1 wiring harness if shorts or open circuits are found.

   Clean and repair connectors

   Clean any corroded connector pins and repair or replace terminals that are bent, spread, or loose.

   Replace ECU

   If the wiring harness and terminating resistors are intact, replace the specific ECU (such as the DEC module) that is broadcasting the invalid data.
