Case IH 2763 (3042.19) - DEC – UCM: Open circuit on Reverse solenoid (HSD)

Issue description

The control module has detected an open circuit on the High Side Driver (HSD) line supplying the reverse directional solenoid.

Applies to these machines

  • MAXXUM T4E
  • Case 21F
  • Case 121F
  • Case 221F
  • Case 321F
  • Case W50C
  • Case W60C
  • Case W70C
  • Case W80C

Check the cause

  1. Check the connection at X-03A-22 of the UCM

  2. Check the connection at the harness junction X-200-E12/B10

  3. Check the connection at X-086-1-2 of solenoid Y-002 (the reverse valve)

  4. Check the wiring continuity between X-022B-3 and X-02B-13

  5. Check the wiring continuity between X-022B-6 and X-04A-22

Repair steps

  1. Inspect Wiring

Perform the diagnostic continuity checks listed above using a multimeter. Look for broken wires, corroded pins, or disconnected harness plugs at the specified X-connectors.

  2. Repair Harness/Solenoid

If an open circuit is found in the wiring or the Y-002 solenoid coil is internally open, repair the wire or replace the reverse solenoid valve.

  3. Module Replacement

If all wiring and solenoid connections are intact and the fault is still present, replace the UCM.
