Check the cause

  1. Inspect the physical hazard rocker switch on the console for sticking, physical damage, or liquid intrusion.

  2. Verify that the BCM power supply fuses and fusible links are not blown.

  3. Disconnect the hazard switch and measure the voltage at the vehicle harness side to check for a short to 12 volts (battery voltage), a short to ground, or an open circuit in the wiring between the switch and the BCM.

  4. If the wiring and fuses are intact, use a diagnostic tool to check the parameter set of the sensor and verify if the BCM is properly receiving and sending data.

Repair steps

  1. Disconnect Power

Turn off the ignition and disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical shorts.

  2. Access the Switch

Carefully pry or remove the dashboard/console trim panel housing the hazard light switch.

  3. Disconnect Harness

Unplug the electrical connector (often a 7-pin, 8-pin, or 9-pin spade terminal connector depending on the model) from the back of the hazard switch.

  4. Remove the Switch

Push the retaining clips on the sides of the switch to pop it out of its mounting hole (many are a standard 22 x 44mm or 22 x 45mm push-fit rocker switch).

  5. Install the New Part

Snap the new OEM hazard switch into the console panel and reconnect the wiring harness.

  6. Reassembly and Testing

Reinstall the trim panel, reconnect the battery, and test the hazard lights for proper operation. Clear the 2875-14 fault code from the BCM using a diagnostic tool.
