Case IH 2922: Park brake pressure too high in park. Park brake may not be fully engaged due to park brake system failure.

Issue description

Hydraulic fluid is still pressurizing the release circuit while commanded into Park, counteracting the mechanical springs and preventing the park brake from fully engaging.

Applies to these machines

  • Steiger T4B
  • Case IH Magnum
  • Case IH Steiger

Check the cause

  1. Check the park brake solenoid coil for physical cracks or electrical shorts.

  2. Test the park brake pressure switch to verify if it is stuck closed or reading out of range, falsely reporting high pressure to the controller.

  3. Inspect the wiring harness leading to the transmission control valves and park brake solenoids for chafing or shorts to power.
