Case IH 298966-11 - VCM – VCM: Steering valve controller internal fault

   Perform a power cycle/reboot by turning the ignition key off, waiting for the system to completely power down, and turning it back on to attempt to restore CAN control.

   Check the fault counter after rebooting; if the fault code is repeated (counter increases by 1), the error is permanent.

   Verify the power supply to ensure the steering valve controller is receiving proper voltage (low supply voltage below 9V-11V during cranking or operation can trigger internal monitoring faults).

   Cycle the Power

   Turn the machine off and back on.

   The PVED-CLS / PVED-CC controller is a sealed, non-serviceable safety component. If the internal fault is permanent, the steering valve controller (or the entire steering valve assembly, depending on how the part is serviced for your specific chassis) must be replaced.

   Calibration

   After replacing the valve/actuator, the new controller will need to be calibrated to the tractor's CAN bus system and AccuGuide system using the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) or Danfoss PLUS+1 service tool.
