Case IH 3019 (DTC 1D64) - ECU – ECU A-095: Intake manifold pressure sensor voltage is higher than expected

The signal voltage returning from the intake manifold pressure (MAP/Boost) sensor to the controller is above the maximum allowable threshold, typically pointing to a short to power in the sensor circuit or an internally shorted sensor.

   Use the Electronic Service Tool (EST) to check for other active faults. If 3647 (DTC 1338) or 3425 (DTC 1438) are active, diagnose and resolve those codes first.

   Visually inspect the Electronic Variable Geometric Turbocharger (EVGT) actuation mechanism. Verify the linkage is properly attached and not restricted, binding, or blocked.

   Check the wiring harness between the intake manifold pressure sensor and ECU A-095 for visible chafing, melted wires, or shorts to a high-voltage source.

   Replace sensor

   If the wiring and turbocharger linkage are intact, replace the intake manifold pressure sensor as it is likely internally shorted.

   Verify fix

   After replacing the sensor or repairing the wiring, use the Electronic Service Tool (EST) to verify if 3019 (DTC 1D64) is no longer active.

   Reset engine inducement

   CRITICAL: Perform the 'Engine Restart Counter Reset / Unlock Inducement' configuration using the EST before returning the machine to service. Fixing the sensor alone will not restore engine power from the emissions derate.

   Verify ECU software

   If the fault remains active after replacing the sensor and checking the wiring, verify that the appropriate software for ECU A-095 is present. Reinstall or flash the ECU software if necessary.
