Case IH 3035 – Engine Control Unit (ECU) A-095: Oil temperature sensor voltage is lower than expected.

The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) monitors the oil temperature sensor (Sensor B-014) signal circuit. This fault occurs when the ECU detects that the voltage in the temperature signal circuit is lower than expected. Specifically, the ECU has detected a voltage of less than 235 mV for a period greater than 500 ms in the B-014 circuit.

   Check for other codes: Verify if any other error codes are displayed. If no other error code is displayed, proceed to the next step.

   Check external power: Ensure that the tractor/machine battery power supply has not been connected to an external power supply (like a jump starter). If connected, disconnect it and test for normal operation.

   Check battery voltage: Check the battery voltage on the instrument cluster. Start the engine and run it at 2000 RPM to ensure the charging system is functioning correctly.

   Visual Inspection: Visually inspect the relevant harnesses and connectors (specifically for the B-014 sensor and A-095 ECU) for damage, bent or dislocated pins, corroded terminals, or broken wires. Verify connectors are fully seated and flex harnesses to reveal intermittent issues.

   Resolve Wiring Issues

   If the visual inspection reveals damaged wiring or poor connections at the B-014 sensor or ECU harness, repair the wiring or replace the damaged connector pins.

   Verify with EST

   Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to verify if fault code 3035 (DTC 22E3) has been resolved after your wiring repairs.

   Return to Service

   If the EST shows the fault is resolved, clear the code and return the machine to service.

   Software Check

   If the fault has not been resolved by wiring repairs, check the A-095 ECU for the appropriate software version and re-flash the ECU if necessary.

   Replace Sensor

   If the wiring is intact, the voltage supply is correct, and the software is up to date, the B-014 oil temperature sensor has suffered an internal failure and must be replaced.
