Case IH 3035 (DTC 22E3) - ECU – Engine Electronic Control Unit (ECU) / A-095: Engine oil temperature sensor voltage is lower than expected
Issue description
The ECU detects that the voltage in the signal circuit of the oil temperature sensor (B-014) has dropped below 235 mV for a period greater than 500 milliseconds. This typically points to a short to ground in the wiring, a disconnected circuit, or an internal failure of the sensor itself.
Applies to these machines

Check the cause
Inspect the relevant wiring harnesses and connectors between the oil temperature sensor (B-014) and the ECU (A-095)
Check connectors for damage, bent or dislocated pins, corroded terminals, or broken wires, and verify they are fully seated
Flex the involved harnesses while monitoring the circuit to reveal any intermittent connection issues or shorts
Verify that the A-095 ECU is running the most up-to-date software version
Repair steps
Repair or replace wiring
Repair or replace any damaged wiring or connectors found during the visual inspection.
Replace oil temperature sensor
If the wiring is intact and the fault persists, the oil temperature sensor (B-014) has likely failed internally and must be replaced.
Install new sensor
Install the new oil temperature sensor.
Connect diagnostic tool
Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the machine's diagnostic port.
Clear code
Use the EST to clear the code and verify that 3035 (DTC 22E3) has been resolved.
Return to service
If the code is resolved, return the machine to service.
Check and re-flash ECU
If the code has not been resolved after sensor replacement and wiring checks, check the A-095 ECU for the appropriate software and re-flash the ECU if necessary.
