   Inspect the wiring harness and injector cable for cylinder 4 for a short circuit (low side to battery or high side to ground), chafing, or external interference

   Check the wiring continuity and the injection signals coming from the ECM to the cylinder 4 injector

   Test the cylinder 4 injector solenoid coil for an internal short circuit or defect

   Isolate the Circuit

   Turn off the machine and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes.

   Repair Wiring (If Applicable)

   If the diagnostic checks reveal a short in the wiring harness leading to cylinder 4, repair the damaged section of the harness or replace the injector sub-harness.

   Replace the Injector (If Defective)

   If the wiring is intact but the injector coil is shorted, remove the high-pressure fuel line (supply pipe) for cylinder 4 and extract the defective injector.

   Install New Injector

   Seat the new injector with new seals/O-rings. Reinstall the high-pressure fuel line (it is highly recommended by OEM standards to replace the high-pressure injection line once it has been removed, as they are often single-use crush fittings).

   If the wiring is good and the injector is good, but the signal is still failing, the ECU itself may be defective and require replacement.

   Code the Injector

   Common rail injectors require coding. Use the CNH EASy tool or Electronic Service Tool (EST) to program the new injector's calibration code (IQA code) into the ECM for cylinder 4.

   Clear Codes

   Clear the 3082 fault code and run the engine to verify the repair.
