Check the cause
Check for other active error codes (such as 18, 27, or 28) which may indicate a broader controller issue.
Locate and inspect the main chassis harness connectors (C019, C020, and C317).
Ensure the chassis harness connectors are fully seated, not physically damaged, and that internal pins are in the correct position with a tight fit.
Visually inspect the entire visible length of the chassis harness for chafing, breaks, or rodent damage.
Repair steps
Power down the tractor and disconnect the battery ground cable to ensure safety while working on the electrical system.
Disconnect the chassis harness connectors (C019, C020, and C317) to expose the part assembly connector for testing.
Inspect the terminals for pushed-back pins, corrosion, or moisture. Clean the contacts thoroughly with an electrical contact cleaner.
If the visual inspection reveals a damaged harness, repair the broken wires using proper splicing techniques (soldering and heat shrink) or replace the affected harness section.
Reconnect the chassis harness connectors, ensuring the locking tabs click into place securely.
Reconnect the battery ground.
Turn the key on, clear the error code from the display, and test the system (such as the hydraulic lift/EDC) for normal operation to verify the fix.
