Case IH 3196 – ECU A-095: Open load error of injector in cylinder 3

The engine control module has detected an open circuit or hardware error in the injector's power stage.

   Verify that the machine's battery is not connected to an external power supply.

   Check for related short circuit fault codes (3063/DTC 6226, 3079/DTC 6426, or 3071/DTC 6626) which must be resolved first.

   Determine if bank failure fault 3210 (DTC 7116) is present, as this can affect all injectors on the same bank.

   Inspect the wire harness, solenoids, and charging system for faults.

   Command the engine to low idle.

   If full power loss is experienced, emergency re-starts are available for 30 seconds of operation to move the machine, but only after the engine is commanded to low idle.

   Disconnect any external battery chargers or jump-starters.

   Connect a diagnostic tool and pull all active ECU A-095 fault codes.

   Resolve any active short-circuit codes.

   Resolve DTC 6226, 6426, 6626, or 7116 before proceeding with the open load error.

   Inspect the wiring harness connecting ECU A-095 to the cylinder 3 fuel injector.

   Check for breaks, chafing, or disconnected terminals.

   Determine if the cylinder 3 injector requires replacement.

   If the wiring is intact and no other short-circuit codes are present, the cylinder 3 injector has suffered an internal hardware/solenoid failure and must be replaced.

   Replace the faulty injector, clear the DTCs, and test run the machine to verify the repair.
