Case IH 3244 – Engine Control Module (ECM / ECU): ECU Recovery (Visible) - Recovery Occurred

This code indicates that the Engine Control Unit (ECU) detected a hardware, software, or configuration anomaly during system startup or operation, which forced the Central Processing Unit (CPU) to perform an internal reset or 'recovery'. Essentially, the module's internal monitoring (watchdog) detected an error and rebooted the module to protect the system.

   Turn the vehicle to the Key On, Engine Off position.
