Case IH 3245 – ECU A-095: ECU internal failure - Query/response communication errors

The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) A-095 monitors communication between itself and the power stage controller over the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) bus. If no response or an erroneous response is detected, the A-095 will reset and monitor the connection again seven times. If the error is still detected after these attempts, fault code 3245 is logged.

   Check if the machine's battery power supply has been connected to an external power supply (e.g., a jump box or external charger)

   Check for a faulty charging system causing voltage irregularities

3. 3

   Check for a faulty solenoid that may be shorting or disrupting the SPI bus

   Check for a faulty wire harness (chafing, loose connections, or corrosion)

   Disconnect External Power

   If an external power supply is currently connected to the tractor/combine, disconnect it immediately and test the system for normal operation.

   Inspect Electrical Systems

   Test the charging system to ensure it is outputting the correct voltage. Inspect the wiring harness and solenoids connected to the CCU/UCM for damage or shorts.

   Clear and Retest

   Use the Electronic Service Tool (EST) to clear the code and see if it returns as an active fault.

   Replace the ECU

   If the external power supply, charging system, wire harness, and solenoids are all verified to be in good working order and the fault remains active, the Central Control Unit (CCU) / Universal Control Module (UCM) / ECU A-095 has suffered an internal failure and must be replaced.
