Case IH 3253 (DTC E41D) - ECU – Engine Control Unit (ECU) A-095: ECU internal failure - Voltage ratio in ADC monitoring.

The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) monitors the efficiency and plausibility of its internal Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) using a voltage ratio conversion test. The ECU counts each time the voltage ratio falls out of the desired range. If this count exceeds 15 times, the fault code is triggered, indicating that the ECU has detected an internal fault.

   Connect the Electronic Service Tool (EST) to check if the fault is currently active or intermittent.

   Ensure that no external power supply is improperly connected and verify that the machine's charging system is functioning correctly, as voltage irregularities can trigger internal ADC monitoring faults.

   Check if there is an updated software calibration available for the ECU A-095, as the failure mode is often related to faulty software.

   Update ECU software

   If the fault is active, first attempt to reflash/update the Engine Control Unit (ECU) with the latest software using the dealer Electronic Service Tool (EST).

   Clear codes and retest

   Clear the fault codes from the module and cycle the key to retest the system.

   Replace ECU

   If the fault code returns and remains active after a software update, the internal Analog to Digital Converter has permanently failed. You must remove and replace the Engine Control Unit (ECU).

   Program new ECU

   Program the new ECU to the machine using the EST.
