Case IH 3288 – Engine Control Module (ECM / ECU): Turbo Compound Monitoring - Signal High

The engine control system has detected that the signal voltage from the Turbo Compound monitoring sensor is higher than the expected maximum range. A "Signal High" condition typically indicates an open circuit, a disconnected sensor, or a short-to-power in the sensor's wiring harness.

   Retrieve active codes using the CNH EASy diagnostic tool to verify if code 3288 is active or stored.

   Visually inspect the Turbo Compound monitoring sensor connector (located near the exhaust turbine/hydrodynamic coupling) for corrosion, pushed-out pins, or moisture.

   Check the wiring harness between the Turbo Compound sensor and the Engine ECU for chafing, melting, or damage.

   Test the signal wire for a short-to-voltage (battery power) or an open circuit (broken wire).

   Disconnect the battery to prevent ECU damage.

   If the wiring harness tests faulty (open or shorted to power), repair the damaged section of the harness or replace the pigtail connector.
