Case IH 3293 (F-519744-18) - ECU – Engine ECU: Fuel rail pressure has exceeded maximum positive deviation limits.

The engine control system has detected that the fuel pressure within the common rail has spiked or deviated above the maximum allowable commanded pressure limit.

   Check for associated active faults, specifically 3106 (DTC 1145) or 3301 (DTC 1565). If active, diagnose these first before proceeding.

   Verify that the tractor battery power supply has not been connected to an external power supply. If it has, disconnect it and test the system for normal operation.

   Inspect the fuel filter for clogs or restrictions.

   Check for leakage in the high-pressure fuel system.

   Inspect the low-pressure pump hydraulic circuit for issues.

   Check the high-pressure pump for low efficiency.

   Replace the PRV

   Remove and replace the Fuel Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) on the common fuel rail. Note: Installation requires extreme cleanliness, as microscopic contamination can destroy common rail components.

   Reset the PRV Counter

   Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the machine and perform the PRV counter reset procedure.

   Test the Machine

   Return the machine to service and verify normal operation.

   ECU Software Check

   If the fault is still active after replacing the PRV and resetting the counter, check the Engine ECU (A-095) for the appropriate software version and re-flash the ECU if necessary.
