Case IH 3301 (F-519744-15) - ECU – ECU: Fuel rail pressure has exceeded maximum negative deviation limits
Issue description
The system is unable to maintain the commanded fuel pressure in the common rail, and the pressure has dropped too far below the target value.
Applies to these machines
7 machines- VESTRUM CVX
- 240 Series Axial-Flow Combines (7230, 8230, 9230)
- Puma Series Tractors
- Magnum Series Tractors (MX210, MX230, MX255, MX285)

- 9900 Series Sugarcane Harvesters
Check the cause
Check for other active fault codes. Specifically, look for code 3106 (DTC 1145) - 'Fuel pressure relief valve reached maximum allowed opening count.' If this or any other listed faults are active, you must diagnose and resolve them first before returning to fault 3301.
If no other error codes are displayed, check the tractor's battery power supply. Ensure the tractor has not been connected to an external power supply. If an external power supply is connected, disconnect it and test the system for normal operation.
Repair steps
Replace the Fuel Pressure Relief Valve (PRV)
Replace the Fuel Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) located on the fuel rail.
Connect the Electronic Service Tool
Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST).
Perform PRV counter reset
Use the EST to perform the PRV counter reset (often found under 'Reset ECU Data' in the software) to clear the engine control module's memory of the valve's opening counts.
