Case IH 3362 – Engine Control Unit (ECU): Torque to Quantity Map - Not Plausible

The engine control module has detected an internal logic error where the requested engine torque does not plausibly match the mapped fuel injection quantity. This typically occurs due to incorrect ECU programming, a corrupted flash file, or an internal hardware defect within the module's memory/processing unit.

   Verify recent service history to see if the machine was recently tuned, chipped, or had its ECU flashed/updated (incorrect aftermarket tunes or interrupted OEM software updates are the primary cause)

   Check for accompanying codes related to ECU voltage supply or EEPROM checksum errors (such as code 3374 - Injection quantity adjustment failure)

   Connect the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to verify the current software version and data set loaded on the ECU

   Re-flash the ECU

   Using the CNH EST diagnostic tool, attempt to re-flash the Engine Control Unit correctly with the proper, up-to-date OEM data set/calibration file for that specific machine.

   Cycle Power and Retest

   After a successful flash, cycle the key switch, clear inactive codes, and run the engine to see if the fault returns.

   Replace the ECU

   If the ECU refuses to take the flash, or if the 3362 error persists after the ECU has been correctly programmed with the proper data set, the ECU has suffered an internal hardware defect and must be replaced.
