Case IH 3368 – Engine Control Unit (ECU) / Engine Controller: Fueling Limited Due To Other Engine Fault Detected, See Other Fault Codes
Issue description
The engine control system has intentionally limited fuel injection (and thereby reduced engine torque/power) to protect the engine or to comply with emissions regulations due to the presence of another primary fault code.
Applies to these machines
5 machines- skid steer
- Case IH Skid Steer Loaders (SSL)
- Case IH Compact Track Loaders (CTL)
- Case IH Magnum 235 - 340 (Series 4)
- Case STX Steiger
Check the cause
Connect the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST) or a compatible diagnostic scanner
Read all active and stored fault codes in the Engine ECU
Look for the primary fault code(s) that triggered the OBD performance limiter
Repair steps
Retrieve Codes
Connect your diagnostic tool and pull the full list of active fault codes from the Engine ECU.
Identify the Root Cause
Disregard code 3368 temporarily. Identify the other active engine or emissions-related fault codes present in the system.
Perform Primary Repair
Follow the OEM service manual troubleshooting steps for the primary fault code(s).
Clear Codes
Once the physical repair for the primary fault is complete, use the diagnostic tool to clear all fault codes.
Verify Operation
Start the engine and perform a test run. Once the primary fault is resolved and cleared, the ECU will lift the fueling/torque limitation, and code 3368 will automatically resolve.
