3369

Case IH 3369:

Applies to these machines

  • skid steer

Check the cause

  1. Read Active Codes: Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the machine's diagnostic port and pull all active and stored ECU fault codes.

  2. Identify the Root Cause: Look for the primary fault code that is causing the engine to run rich or lack air (e.g., air filter restriction, turbocharger/boost pressure sensor faults, fuel rail pressure issues, EGR or DPF faults).

  3. Visual Inspection: Check the engine air filter for severe restrictions and inspect the charge-air cooler hoses for leaks or blowouts that would cause a loss of boost pressure.

Repair steps

  1. Connect Diagnostic Tool

Hook up the Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the machine.

  2. Diagnose Primary Fault

Ignore code 3369 temporarily. Follow the troubleshooting steps in the service manual for the other active engine fault codes.

  3. Perform Physical Repairs

Replace the failed sensor, clear the restricted filter, or repair the leaking intake hose dictated by the primary fault code.

  4. Clear Codes

Once the physical repair is complete, use the EST to clear all inactive fault codes from the ECU memory.

  5. Test Run

Start the engine and run it under load. Verify that the white telltale lamp remains off, full fueling/torque is restored, and code 3369 does not return.
