   Scan for root-cause codes using a diagnostic tool (look specifically for coolant temperature, engine speed, or turbo boost pressure codes)

   If overheating is suspected: Verify coolant levels, inspect the radiator cap for proper pressure retention, and check the water pump and fan drive belt tension

   Blow out the radiator fins from the inside out using compressed air to remove chaff and dirt. If the coolant is old or contaminated, flush the cooling system and refill with OEM-approved coolant. Replace the thermostat if the engine is failing to regulate temperature under load.

   Clean or replace the turbo wastegate actuator if it is seized. Verify the engine speed (crankshaft/camshaft) sensors are securely mounted and free of metallic debris.
