Case IH 3495 – Engine ECU (EDC): Cursor: Missing adjustment value programming for injector in cylinder 3

The Engine Control Unit (ECU) is missing the specific Injector Adjustment Value (IMA code) for the fuel injector located in cylinder 3. When this code is missing or invalid, the engine controller cannot properly fuel that cylinder, triggering an SCR Inducement Level 3 (creep mode).

   Verify if the fuel injector in cylinder 3 was recently replaced without programming the new IMA code into the ECU

   Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) and verify if the current injector programming value for cylinder 3 is blank, corrupted, or invalid

   Check for accompanying internal ECU faults, such as an EEPROM initialization error or an internal memory failure within the EDC

   Read IMA code

   Locate cylinder 3 on the engine and physically read the IMA calibration code printed on the top/side of the fuel injector.

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the machine's diagnostic port.

   Program IMA code

   Navigate to the Engine ECU (EDC) programming menu and input the correct IMA code for the cylinder 3 injector.

   Verify repair

   Clear the fault codes and cycle the key to verify if the code returns.

   Reprogram ECU

   If the EST will not accept the programming or the code immediately returns, the EDC may have an EEPROM initialization error. Reprogram/flash the entire Engine ECU (including EEPROM initialization).

   Replace ECU

   If the ECU reprogramming fails or the fault persists, the Engine ECU (EDC) has suffered an internal hardware failure and must be replaced.
