3598-03 - BCM

Case IH 3598-03 - BCM – BCM: Radio Switched Power Short to B+

Issue description

The switched power circuit supplying the radio is receiving a higher voltage than expected (Voltage Above Normal / Shorted High). This is typically caused by the wiring harness shorting to a power source (Battery Positive / B+).

Applies to these machines

  • MAGNUM AFS Connect

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the component connectors (radio and BCM connectors) for corrosion, moisture, or backed-out pins.

  2. Disconnect the component (radio) and test the wiring harness.

  3. Check the harness specifically for a short to a power source (B+), which is the primary cause of an FMI 03 code.

  4. Verify that the power supply coming from the control module is within the correct voltage specifications.

Parts you might need
