Check the cause
Check that the crankcase pressure sensor is properly installed and seated securely in its port
Inspect the wiring harness leading to the sensor for any physical damage, chafing, or breaks
Ensure the 3-pin connector is securely fastened and free of corrosion or debris
Repair steps
Locate sensor
Locate the crankcase pressure sensor on the engine block.
Perform diagnostic checks
Perform the diagnostic checks on the installation and wiring harness as outlined in the things to check.
Determine sensor failure
If the sensor is installed correctly and the wiring harness is verified to be in good condition, the sensor itself has failed internally.
Disconnect connector
Disconnect the 3-pin electrical connector from the sensor.
Remove sensor
Remove the defective crankcase pressure sensor.
Install new sensor
Install the new OEM replacement sensor.
Reconnect and clear codes
Reconnect the wiring harness and clear the fault codes using an Electronic Service Tool to verify the repair.
