Check the cause
Check for companion codes: Look for other injector system Diagnostic Fault Checks (DFCs). If code 3745 is stored without any other external wiring or injector system faults, the ECU is definitively defective.
Inspect the main engine harness connection at the ECU for corrosion, pushed-out pins, or water intrusion, which can cause internal communication shorts.
Clear the code and cycle the key. If the code immediately returns upon the self-check, the module's internal ROM or power stage is permanently damaged.
Repair steps
Replace the Engine Controller
Remove the defective EDC/ECU from the machine.
Install the New Module
Mount and plug in the replacement EDC.
Restore Parameters
Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) and follow the appropriate service tool procedure to restore the machine's self-learning parameters, injector trim codes, and immobilizer sync.
