   Attempt Code Clearing: Connect the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST) and attempt to clear the code. Cycle the key to see if the fault is a hard (permanent) failure or an intermittent software glitch.

   Check for Software Updates: Before replacing the hardware, check if there is a newer software dataset available for the ECU that patches this OS timeout error.

   Emergency Operation Note: If this fault causes a full engine power loss and the machine is stranded, CNH software allows for an 'Emergency Re-start' (enabled only after the engine has been commanded to low idle) to allow 30 seconds of operation to move the machine.
