Case IH 3751 (F-5441-31) – Engine Control Module (ECM): ECU internal failure - Fuel injection energizing phase is not plausible

The engine computer has detected that the timing, duration, or electrical pulse angle sent to the fuel injectors is out of expected operational parameters, pointing to an internal processing or hardware failure within the module itself.

   Connect the official Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the machine's diagnostic port

   Attempt to reload the Engine Dataset (software calibration) to the Engine Controller

   Monitor the system to see if the fault code persists after the software has been successfully re-flashed

   Reload Engine Dataset

   Reload the Engine Dataset using the service tool.

   Replace Engine Controller

   If the fault persists, the Engine Controller (EDC/ECM) must be replaced.

   Remove defective controller

   Disconnect the battery, remove the wiring harnesses from the defective Engine Controller, and unbolt the unit from its mounting bracket.

   Install new controller

   Install the new or remanufactured Engine Controller and reconnect the harnesses.

   Restore self-learning parameters

   Once the new EDC is installed, you MUST follow the appropriate service tool procedure via the EST to restore the engine's self-learning parameters (specifically the Injection Angles and Zero Fuel Calibration).
