Case IH 3751 (DTC ED36) - ECU – Engine Control Unit (ECU): ECU internal failure - Fuel injection energizing phase is not plausible

The Engine Control Unit has detected an error in the plausibility of the start of the fuel injection energizing angles. This means the timing or duration signals being calculated internally by the controller for the fuel injectors are out of expected parameters, pointing to a software corruption or internal hardware failure within the module itself.

   Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the machine's diagnostic port

   Verify the presence of code 3751 (ED36)

   Attempt to Reload the Engine Dataset (reflash/reprogram the ECU software) to see if the plausibility error is due to software corruption

   Reprogram the ECU

   Reload the engine dataset using the appropriate service tool.

   Test Operation

   Cycle the key and run the engine to see if the fault persists.

   Replace the ECU

   If the fault persists after the software reflash, the Engine Controller (EDC/ECU) has suffered a hard internal failure and must be replaced.

   Restore Parameters

   If the EDC is replaced, you MUST follow the appropriate service tool procedure to restore the engine's self-learning parameters (such as Zero Fuel Calibration and injection angles) to the new module.
