Case IH 3752 – Engine Control Unit (ECU) / EDC (Electronic Diesel Control): Fuel injection correction has exceeded a minimum limit

The engine controller has detected that the fuel injectors require a correction factor that falls outside of the acceptable minimum threshold to maintain proper fueling and emissions, indicating a Zero Fuel Calibration (ZFC) error.

   Check fuel pressure at high idle. Apply a load to the engine using the hydraulics (over relief), hydrostatic stall, or a dynamometer to reach rated RPM.

   Verify that fuel pressure does not drop below 0.276 bar (4.0 psi) at any time during the tests.

   Install a test line constructed with clear tubing to observe if air is entering the fuel system.

   Inspect the fuel pre-filter and main fuel filter(s) for restrictions.

   Check Voss O-ring fittings and fuel lines for leaks or loose connections.

   Inspect the fuel tank (especially the bottom and sidewalls) for debris or contamination.

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the appropriate Case IH diagnostic service tool to the machine.

   Reload Engine Dataset

   Attempt to reload the Engine Dataset (software flash/update) to the EDC to correct the Zero Fuel Calibration error.

   Replace EDC module

   If the fault persists after reloading the engine dataset, the Engine Controller (EDC) has suffered an internal failure and must be replaced.

   Install new EDC

   Install the new EDC module.

   Restore parameters and calibrate

   Follow the appropriate service tool procedure to restore the Self-Learning Parameters and perform a Zero Fuel Calibration on the new controller.
