Case IH 3753 – Engine Controller: Reload Engine Dataset Or Replace Engine Controller If Fault Persists (Level 2 Monitoring)

The engine controller has detected that the fueling parameters or injection correction values are operating outside of their expected, plausible bounds.

   Check for related injector codes (such as 3874, 3875, 3876, or 3877) which indicate that the quantity correction value is too large on a specific cylinder segment.

   Inspect fuel injectors for contamination or leaks, which can cause the ECU to drastically alter injection quantity to compensate.

   Verify fuel pressure to ensure there are no low-pressure fuel supply restrictions or air entering the system, which can skew injection data.

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Hook up the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the machine's diagnostic port.

   Reload engine dataset

   Reflash or reload the engine software dataset to the current Engine Controller to see if a software calibration reset resolves the correction error.

   Test machine operation

   Clear the codes and operate the machine to see if fault 3753 returns.

   Replace Engine Controller

   If the fault persists after the dataset has been reloaded, the Engine Controller (EDC) has suffered an internal failure and must be physically replaced.

   Restore self-learning parameters

   After installing the new EDC, you MUST use the EST to follow the appropriate service tool procedure to restore the engine's Self Learning Parameters.
