3755

Case IH 3755 – Engine Control Unit (ECU) / Electronic Diesel Control (EDC): EDC - Level 2 Monitoring: Diagnostic fault check to report the error due to torque comparison.

Issue description

The engine's control system has detected an internal plausibility error where the requested torque versus the actual calculated torque do not match or fail a plausibility check.

Applies to these machines

  • Farmall
  • Steiger T4B
  • Farmall 100C
  • Farmall 110C
  • Farmall 120M
  • Maxxum
  • SR220
  • SV250
  • TR320
  • 580N
  • 590SN

Check the cause

  1. Check for consequential codes related to fuel pressure, injector circuits, or CAN-bus communication (e.g., SPN 3775 for rail pressure or 3740 for injector circuits).

  2. Inspect the EDC harness for chafing, water intrusion, or bent pins, which could cause internal processing faults.

  3. Verify software version to see if there is a newer software dataset available for the machine's EDC.

Repair steps

  1. Connect diagnostic tool

Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the machine's diagnostic port.

  2. Reload engine dataset

Reflash the EDC with the correct, up-to-date engine dataset software. Clear the codes and cycle the key to see if the fault persists.

  3. Replace engine controller

If the fault code 3755 returns after the software reload, the EDC has suffered an internal failure and must be replaced.

  4. Restore self-learning parameters

If the EDC is replaced, you must follow the appropriate Service Tool procedure in the EST to restore the engine's self-learning parameters (injector trim codes, etc.) to the new module.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Engine Control Module (ECM) / Electronic Diesel Control (EDC) Unit

    463212

Part numbers vary strictly by the machine's specific engine trim level and horsepower rating. Verify with Case IH Parts Help Desk (PHD) prior to ordering. Requires dealer programming via the EST.
