Case IH 3757 (F-518150-31) - ECU – Engine Control Unit (ECU): ECU internal failure - Post injection shut-off failure

Electronic Diesel Control (EDC) Level 2 Monitoring fault. The system performs a diagnostic fault check and detects an internal error in the Post Injection 2 (PoI2) shut-off circuit. Because the controller cannot verify that the post-injection fuel event has successfully shut off, it triggers an Injection Cut-Off (ICO) demand to protect the engine.

   Connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the machine's diagnostic port

   Verify that code 3757 is active

   Attempt to Reload the Engine Dataset (reflash the ECU software) using the EST to rule out a software corruption issue

   Reflash the ECU

   Using the EST, reload the engine dataset to the current Engine Controller.

   Retest

   Clear the fault codes, cycle the key, and run the engine to see if the fault persists.

   Replace the ECU

   If the fault code returns after the software reload, the ECU has suffered a permanent internal hardware failure and must be replaced.

   Restore Parameters

   If the EDC/ECU is replaced, you must use the Case IH Electronic Service Tool to program the new module, restore the 'Self Learning Parameters,' and load the correct engine dataset for the specific machine.
