Case IH 3810 (F-157-02) - ECU – Engine Control Module (ECM) / Engine ECU: Rail pressure sensor value is intermittent

The control module is receiving an erratic, unstable, or intermittent electrical signal from the fuel rail pressure sensor.

   Check for other active fault codes. If any related faults are active (such as 3110 / DTC 1225), diagnose and resolve those first before returning to 3810.

   Locate the Rail Pressure Sensor (designated as sensor B-015 in Case IH electrical schematics).

   Check that the B-015 sensor is properly mounted and secured.

   Inspect the B-015 circuit wiring harness and connector (often labeled X-967) for loose connections, backed-out pins, or short circuits.

   Tighten sensor

   If the sensor is found to be loose during the diagnostic check, properly seat and tighten the sensor to the fuel rail.

   Repair wiring

   If the wiring harness or connector is damaged or shorted, repair the affected section of the B-015 circuit.

   Replace sensor

   If the mounting is secure and the wiring tests good, the internal components of the sensor are likely failing intermittently. Remove and replace the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor.

   Verify repair

   Clear the fault codes and run the engine to verify that the intermittent signal fault does not return.
