Case IH 4005 – EHR (Electronic Hitch/Hydraulic Remote) Control Unit / Armrest Controller (ARM/ATC): Levers are not calibrated at power up.
Issue description
The tractor's computer does not recognize the position parameters of the Electronic Hitch/Hydraulic Remote (EHR) levers (also known as SCV levers) located in the armrest. This condition typically occurs when a new controller is installed, an EHR lever is replaced, or the internal potentiometer in one of the levers begins to fail and loses its memory.

Check the cause
Check recent service history to see if the EHR control unit or any armrest levers were recently replaced, which would require a routine calibration
Identify the faulty lever using the A-post display or Pro monitor (look for a remote light, such as a green cylinder light, staying on when the lever is physically in neutral)
Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the EHR levers and the armrest controller to ensure pins are tight, undamaged, and free of corrosion
Test the internal potentiometer by observing the neutral light; if the light is on in neutral but goes out when you pull the switch back slightly, the potentiometer is likely failing

Hold the 'Prog' (Program) key on the A-post display while turning the ignition key to the ON position.

Navigate to the 'ARM' (Armrest) section and locate the calibration menu (often found under the HH > H1 menus depending on the model).
