Check the cause
Inspect the EHR valve connector (C206) for loose pins, moisture, or corrosion
Check the wiring harness between the ECU and the rear remote for continuity, shorts to ground, or broken wires
If wiring and connectors pass inspection, check the electronic module on the EHR valve itself for failure
Repair steps
Locate valve
Locate Rear Remote Valve No. 5 at the rear hydraulic block.
Inspect connector
Disconnect the EHR valve connector (C206) and inspect the terminals. Clean or repair the connector if damage or corrosion is found.
Test harness
Perform a continuity test on the harness back to the ECU. Repair any wiring faults.
Replace valve
If the harness and connector are functioning properly, replace the faulty EHR valve.
Clear code
Once the physical repair is complete, use the Electronic Service Tool (EST) to clear the error code.
Test system
Test the hydraulic remote system to verify normal operation and ensure the code does not return.
