Case IH 4305 – EHR (Electronic Hitch/Hydraulic Remote): Rear remote no. 6 - under voltage

The control module has detected that the voltage on the electrical circuit operating the #6 rear hydraulic remote valve has dropped below the acceptable operating threshold.

   Check Connector C207 at the #6 EHR valve for loose pins, moisture, or corrosion.

   Trace the wiring harness from the EHR controller to the rear remote valve to check for chafing, open circuits, or shorts to ground that would cause a voltage drop.

   Verify if the EHR valve solenoid is internally shorted or failing, which can pull the circuit voltage down.

   Inspect and Clean Connections

   Disconnect connector C207 at the #6 rear remote valve. Clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner and ensure the pins are seated tightly.

   Repair Wiring

   If harness damage is found during the diagnostic continuity test, repair or replace the affected section of the wire harness.

   Replace the Valve

   If the wiring and connector supply the correct voltage but the fault remains, the EHR valve section has failed internally. Remove and replace the #6 EHR valve section.

   Configure the Valve

   If a new EHR valve is installed, use the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to configure and calibrate the new valve section to the tractor's CAN-bus system.

   Clear Codes

   Once the physical repair is complete, clear the error code from the EHR controller and test the rear remote system for normal operation.
