Case IH 4310 – EHR: Rear remote no. 6 - manually operated

The system has detected that the spool for the number 6 rear remote valve is being operated manually, or there is an issue with incorrect hydraulic pressure or a faulty valve preventing electronic control.

   Check for other active EHR error codes, clear them, and test the system for normal operation

   Verify that the hydraulic pressure to the remote valves is correct

   Inspect the EHR valve's physical condition and electrical connections to ensure there are no damaged pins, loose connectors, or wiring harness shorts

   Connect the Electronic Service Tool (EST) or use the tractor's onboard diagnostic display to read and clear the active 4310 fault code.

   Operate the tractor to see if the code returns. If the code does not return, return the machine to normal operation.

   If the fault persists, test the hydraulic pressure at the rear remotes. Adjust or repair the hydraulic supply if the pressure is incorrect.

   If hydraulic pressure is correct but the valve still registers as manually operated or fails to respond to electronic inputs, the EHR valve itself is likely faulty and must be replaced.

   Disconnect the electrical harness from the faulty No. 6 EHR valve.

   Unbolt and remove the faulty EHR valve from the rear remote hydraulic stack.

   Install the new EHR valve with new O-rings and torque the mounting bolts to factory specifications.

   Reconnect the electrical harness.

   Calibrate the new EHR valve using the EST or the tractor's H-Menu calibration mode (e.g., Mode HL for EHR valves) so the controller can learn the neutral, raise, lower, and float positions.
