Case IH 4311 – EHR (Electronic Hitch/Hydraulic Remote) control module: Rear Remote No.6 - Output Stage Faulty

The controller is detecting an electrical or internal failure in the drive/actuator circuit of the 6th rear hydraulic remote valve, indicating an EEPROM error or a faulty EHR valve section.

   Check the system for any other active EHR error codes.

   Clear the error code using the Electronic Service Tool or the tractor's diagnostic menu.

   Test the rear remote system for normal operation to see if the code returns.

   Verify the wiring and connections to Rear Remote No. 6 to rule out a simple short or open circuit before condemning the valve.

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the diagnostic tool and make a note of any other EHR codes.

   Clear error code

   Clear the 4311 error code.

   Test operation

   Operate Rear Remote No. 6 to see if the fault actively returns.

   Inspect wiring

   Inspect the wiring harness and connector at the Rear Remote No. 6 valve for damage, corrosion, or loose pins.

   Diagnose internal failure

   If the wiring is intact and the code immediately returns, the failure is internal to the valve's electronic actuator (EEPROM error or faulty output stage).

   Replace valve section

   Replace the faulty EHR valve section for Rear Remote No. 6.
