Case IH 4312 – EHR (Electronic Hitch/Hydraulic Remote): Rear remote no. 6 - internal position sensor faulty

The internal spool position potentiometer (transducer) inside the #6 rear hydraulic remote valve is sending an implausible signal, has failed, or is defective.

   Check for other EHR error codes using the Electronic Service Tool (EST) or the tractor's display

   Clear the error code(s) from the system and test the remote valve for normal operation

   Download the correct level of software and re-configure the EHR valve if the fault is still present

   Inspect external harness connectors to the #6 remote valve to ensure they are fully seated, undamaged, and that pins are tight and free of corrosion

   Relieve all hydraulic system pressure before servicing.

   Disconnect the electrical harness from the #6 rear remote valve section.

   Unbolt and remove the faulty #6 EHR valve section from the rear remote manifold stack.

   Install the replacement EHR valve section.

   Ensure new O-rings/seals are used between the valve slices.

   Torque the tie-bolts to the specification found in your specific model's service manual.

   Reconnect the electrical harness.

   Use the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to configure and calibrate the new EHR valve section.

   Clear the error code and test the hydraulic system for normal operation.
