Case IH 4322 – EHR (Electro-Hydraulic Remote) Controller: Rear Remote No.7 - Spool Deflection Excessive

This code indicates an internal fault (often mechanical) within the #7 rear remote valve. The valve's internal position transducer has detected that the hydraulic spool has traveled further than the commanded position, or the transducer itself is failing and sending an out-of-range signal.

   Observe the internal diagnostic LED on the valve casing (next to the connector) for Flash Code 24 to confirm the valve's internal diagnosis

   Inspect the wiring harness and connector at the #7 rear remote valve for corrosion, moisture, or damaged pins

   Perform a component swap test by swapping the #7 EHR valve section with a known-good adjacent valve (like #6 or #8). If the fault code changes to match the new position, the valve has failed. If it remains 4322, the issue is in the wiring harness or EHR controller

   Check for manual operation interference or severe hydraulic contamination that could cause the spool to bind or over-travel

   Relieve all hydraulic system pressure and turn off the tractor key switch.

   Disconnect the EHR control valve wire harness from the #7 remote valve.

   Unbolt the tie-rods holding the rear remote valve stack together and carefully remove the faulty #7 EHR valve section.

   Install the replacement EHR remote valve section, ensuring all O-rings are properly seated between the valve slices.

   Torque the valve stack tie-rods to the manufacturer's specification and reconnect the electrical harness.
