Case IH 4324 – EHR (Electronic Hitch/Hydraulic Remote): Rear remote no. 7 - manually operated
Issue description
The system has detected the spool valve for rear remote #7 is being operated manually (or is registering a manual override condition) rather than responding to electronic commands. Primary failure modes are incorrect hydraulic pressure or a faulty EHR valve.
Applies to these machines
4 machines- Magnum
- Steiger T4B
- Case IH Magnum 235 - 340 (Series 4)
- Case IH STX Steiger tractors (350 - 600 horsepower)
Check the cause
Check for other active EHR error codes, make a note of them, clear them, and test the hydraulic system for normal operation
Verify the hydraulic pressures of the system (refer to the hydraulic testing section in the specific machine's service manual)
Repair steps
Address Pressure Issues
If the hydraulic pressures tested in the diagnostic phase are incorrect, repair or replace the affected hydraulic supply components (e.g., pump, lines, or pressure relief valves) as required.
Software Configuration
If the hydraulic pressures are within specification, connect the Case IH Electronic Service Tool (EST). Download the correct level of software and reconfigure the EHR valve.
Valve Replacement
If the fault re-occurs after the software update and reconfiguration, the EHR valve itself has failed internally. You must remove the EHR valve section for remote #7, replace it with a new unit, and configure the new valve section using the EST.
