Case IH 4326 – EHR (Electronic Hitch/Hydraulic Remote): Rear remote no. 7 - internal position sensor faulty

The control module has detected that the internal position sensor (potentiometer) monitoring the spool movement inside the #7 rear hydraulic remote valve is defective, sending an implausible signal, or failing to report the spool's position.

   Check the system for any other active EHR error codes.

   Clear the error code(s) and test the hydraulic remote for normal operation to ensure it is not a transient software glitch.

   Check the wiring harness and connectors at the #7 remote valve to ensure pins are tight, undamaged, and free of corrosion.

   If the code returns, the failure is isolated to either a faulty spool position potentiometer or a faulty EHR valve section.

   Software Configuration

   Download the correct level of software and attempt to reconfigure/calibrate the EHR valve using the Electronic Service Tool (EST).

   Component Replacement

   If the system operation is still abnormal and the fault is still present after a software flash/calibration, the physical hardware has failed.

   Remove the Valve

   Depressurize the hydraulic system and remove the #7 EHR remote valve section from the rear valve stack.

   Replace

   Replace the faulty spool position potentiometer or the entire EHR valve section (depending on whether your specific valve block revision allows the potentiometer to be serviced separately).

   Reconfigure

   Install the new EHR valve section, then use the EST to configure and calibrate the new valve to the tractor's EHR module.
