Case IH 4330 – EHR (Electronic Hitch / Remote): Rear Remote No.8 -Position Transducer Faulty

The controller is receiving an invalid, corrupted, or missing signal from the internal spool position potentiometer (transducer) on the 8th rear remote control valve.

   Check for other active EHR error codes

   Make a note of the error codes, clear them, and test the system for normal operation to see if the code returns

   Inspect the EHR control valve wire harness and connectors for damage, corrosion, or open/short circuits

   Determine if the failure is due to a faulty spool position potentiometer or a faulty EHR valve section

   Clear the error code and test the system for normal operation.

   Inspect the wiring harness connected to Rear Remote No. 8.

   Perform this if the fault is still present after clearing and testing.

   Replace the faulty spool position potentiometer (transducer).

   If the wiring is intact, the issue is likely internal to the valve. Replace the transducer if it is serviceable separately on your specific valve.

   Replace the entire EHR valve section for Rear Remote No. 8.

   Do this if the transducer cannot be replaced independently or the valve spool is mechanically failing.

   Download the correct level of software and configure the EHR valve using the Electronic Service Tool (EST).

   Perform this after replacing the components.
