Case IH 4347 – EHR (Electronic Hitch/Hydraulic Remote): Rear remote no. 6 - no communications

The control unit has lost CAN bus communication with the electronic spool valve for rear remote number 6.

   Check for other CAN bus communication fault codes to rule out a broader network issue rather than an isolated valve failure

   Inspect the wiring harness between the EHR valve #6 and the ECU for chafing, breaks, or shorts

   Examine the electrical connectors at the EHR valve and the ECU to ensure they are fully seated, undamaged, and pins are in the correct position with a tight fit

   Resolve Wiring Issues

   If the diagnostic checks reveal a faulty connector or damaged harness, repair or replace the affected wiring components.

   Replace the Valve

   If the harness and connectors test good but the fault is still present, the EHR valve itself has failed internally. Remove the faulty EHR valve section.

   Install and Configure

   Install the replacement EHR valve section. You will need to configure and calibrate the new EHR valve using the dealer Electronic Service Tool.

   Clear and Test

   Once the cause of the error code has been rectified, clear the error code from the system and test the hydraulic remotes for normal operation.
