Case IH 5002 – Armrest Controller / TMF / CCH: Rear PTO 5002 PTO switch interlock

The system detects the Cab PTO Switch and the Remote Fender PTO Switch are turned on at the same time. This creates an interlock conflict, preventing the Power Take-Off (PTO) from engaging for safety reasons.

   Verify that neither the cab PTO switch nor the remote fender PTO switch is physically jammed, stuck in the 'ON' position, or obstructed by debris

   Inspect the wiring harness connecting the fender switch to the cab controller for pinched wires or shorts to 12V/ground

   Verify that the transmission/PTO system is configured properly in the tractor's software, especially if a module was recently replaced or updated

   Reconfigure the PTO System

   If the fault code appears after a software update or module replacement, access the controller configuration and calibration menu and reconfigure the PTO system. Check if the fault code clears.

   Test the Switches

   Use a multimeter to test the continuity of both the cab PTO switch and the remote fender switch. Ensure they open and close properly when actuated and are not internally shorted.

   Replace Faulty Components

   If either switch is internally shorted (causing the system to think it is constantly being pressed), remove the faulty switch and install a new OEM replacement.

   Clear Codes

   Cycle the tractor's power and clear the fault codes from the Armrest/CCH controller to verify the repair.
