Case IH 51041 – Remote Hydraulics Controller (AUX or AUX67): Aux Remote Controller failure - Valve Current Limit Protection Low

Remote valve current limiting protection error: valve current limit out of range low. The controller has detected an internal failure regarding the current enable/limit circuit that supplies power to the remote hydraulic valve solenoids.

   Verify system voltage at cavity 1 and 12 of connector C053 at the remote hydraulic controller (should be between 9.8 and 14.5 volts). If out of range, check the battery and alternator regulator.

   Check the controller ground at cavity 2 and 11 at connector C053 to ensure good, clean connections to the chassis clean ground.

   Clear the fault codes, shut down the tractor completely, and start it again to see if the code returns.

   Access controller

   Access the Remote Hydraulics Controller (AUX) and locate connector C053.

   Perform voltage and ground checks

   Perform the multimeter voltage and ground checks outlined in the diagnostic steps above.

   Repair wiring

   Repair any corroded ground wires or battery supply issues if the voltage is outside the 9.8V - 14.5V range.

   Evaluate controller

   If the power and ground circuits test perfectly but the 51041 fault code immediately returns upon restarting the tractor, the internal circuitry of the controller has failed.

   Replace controller

   Replace the Remote Hydraulic Controller.

   Calibrate controller

   After replacement, the new controller may require calibration (such as spool valve coding or remote valve calibration) using an electronic service tool (like the Case IH EST or Jaltest).
