Case IH 51076 – Aux Remote Controller (AUX): Aux 3rd Raise solenoid failed open or short circuit.

The controller has detected an electrical fault in the circuit controlling the 'raise' (extend/retract) solenoid for the 3rd auxiliary remote hydraulic valve. The system is seeing either an open circuit (such as a broken wire, disconnected plug, or burnt-out solenoid coil) or a short circuit to ground.

   Visual Inspection: Inspect the wiring harness and the electrical connector at the 3rd remote valve solenoid at the rear of the tractor. Look for damaged wires, corrosion, or loose pins.

   Coil Resistance Test: Disconnect the harness from the 3rd raise solenoid and use a multimeter to measure the resistance across the coil pins. An infinite reading indicates an open (burnt) coil, while a reading of zero (or continuity to the tractor chassis) indicates a short circuit.

   Harness Continuity Test: Check the wiring from the Aux Remote Controller to the solenoid connector for continuity and ensure there are no shorts to ground in the harness itself.

   Swap Test: Swap the suspect solenoid coil with a known good coil from another remote valve (e.g., the 1st or 2nd remote). If the fault code changes to match the new location, the coil is the culprit. If the 51076 code remains, the issue is in the wiring harness or the controller.

   Turn off the tractor, relieve all hydraulic pressure, and disconnect the battery power.

   Locate the auxiliary remote valve stack at the rear of the tractor.

   Identify the 3rd remote valve and locate the specific 'raise' solenoid on that valve block.

   Unplug the electrical connector from the faulty solenoid.

   Remove the retaining nut at the end of the solenoid stem.

   Slide the old solenoid coil off the valve cartridge.

   Slide the new solenoid coil onto the cartridge and secure it with the retaining nut.

   Do not overtighten, as this can damage the coil.

   Reconnect the electrical harness.

   Reconnect the battery, start the tractor, clear the stored fault codes via the programmable display, and test the 3rd remote valve for proper operation.
